Dr. Kikuchi is a surgeon certified by Japan surgical society. He is an assistant professor of Department of Vascular Surgery of Asahikawa Medical University, Japan, especially focusing on distal bypass grafting for chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI). Low-invasive vascular surgery under lower-extremity nerve blockade is provided for him in 2019 EJVES, and he handles losts of high-risk patients with CLTI by two way revascularization, surgical procedure and endovascular therapy.
He earned his medical degrees from Asahikawa Medical University at 2008 and PhD at 2017. Mechanism of vein graft failure is his research project, which he learned from Dr. Clowes AW in UW, Seattle (2012-2014). Vein graft disease is the biggest research topic for him, he is researching for elucidation of intimal hyperplasia which develops in vein graft.
