Resident Physician
Massachusetts General Hospital
Boston, Massachusetts
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Biochemistry and a M.S. in Chemistry, Zach Feldman worked for two years at the management consultancy Bain & Company, where he worked with large healthcare and other companies to drive meaningful and long-lasting change via financial and organizational analyses. This drove an interest in health services research that continued in medical school, which he completed at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2018. He joined the Massachusetts General Hospital integrated residency program in vascular surgery in 2018, and has completed three clinical years prior to being awared the Torchiana Administrative Fellowship by the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization (MGPO) in 2021. His fellowship included a MPH, which he completed at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 2022. Zach continued health services research projects during his clinical residency years, with current investigations of the effects of centralization of aortic surgery on outcomes. He also maintains an active interest in economic evaluation of vascular surgery, with ongoing cost-effectiveness analyses and studies of market concentration in vascular surgery, in addition to more traditional outcomes research at MGH. Zach will continue his research and administrative fellowship in 2022, beginning with a new position as the MGPO Medical Director for Site of Care, a care delivery optimization role that continued into 2023.
