Halbert Bai is a rising third-year medical student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In 2018, Halbert received his B.A. in Biology and Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Benjamin Franklin Scholar and graduated summa cum laude. He received early admission to Mount Sinai in college and was awarded the John Thouron Prize to study and conduct research at Cambridge University. Prior to matriculation into medical school, Halbert pursued an MPH in Chronic Disease Epidemiology and Regulatory Affairs on a Horstmann Scholarship at the Yale School of Public Health where he completed his Master's thesis in vascular surgery and was nominated for the Dean's Thesis Prize by faculty. Halbert has conducted outcomes research in Peripheral Artery Disease, superficial and deep venous diseases, and endovascular aneurysm repair. He was born and raised in Dallas, Texas.
