Dr. Allan M. Conway’s clinical and academic interests focus on the management of abdominal aortic aneurysms and thoracic aneurysms, including advanced endovascular techniques for complex aneurysms. His other areas of interest include treating carotid artery disease with a minimally invasive approach, and peripheral artery disease where he specializes in limb salvage programs. He has a further interest in diagnosing and treating vascular malformations and has authored many book chapters on this area.
Outside of the operating room, Dr. Conway is actively involved in surgical education and clinical research. He has led many surgical trials including on the endovascular management of peripheral artery disease, and for novel stent grafts to treat thoracic aortic aneurysms. He has published the results of his work in many leading journals, including the Journal of Vascular Surgery. He is on the editorial board for the Annals of Vascular Surgery and is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Endovascular Therapy.
His philosophy for patient care centers on the development of a personalized treatment plan that focuses on the needs and goals of patients and their families. He believes in a compassionate approach that utilizes contemporary practice, with an evidenced based approach to the medical, endovascular and surgical management of vascular disease.
