Erica Mariani, MD

Dr. Erica Mariani attended the Medical School in Perugia (Italy) where her interest in Vascular Surgery began. She attended her fellowship at the University Hospital of Parma and recently completed her residency at the Univerity of Bologna (Italy).
During her residency she spent a 5-months fellowship at the University Hospital of Belgrade in Serbia where she could improve her knowledge on open aortic repair techniques.
She developed her scientific interest during her experience at the University Hospital of Parma (Italy) where she started her current research on aortic stiffness and cardiac function changes after endovascular aortic repair collaborating closely with Cardiology Unit.
Currently Dr. Mariani is a junior surgeon at the Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Unit of Cuneo Hospital in northwestern Italy.
