Dr. Luca Bertoglio is an associate professor at "Vita-Salute" San Raffaele University and the head of the Endovascular Surgery Unit for arterial pathology within the Vascular Surgery Unit of the San Raffaele Hospital IRCCS directed by Professor Roberto Chiesa.
Luca Bertoglio graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2003 at the University of Genoa and specialized in Vascular Surgery in 2008 at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan. He spent periods of specialist training abroad on surgical and endovascular techniques for aneurysmal pathology at renowned international institutes.
The current clinical and research interest mainly concerns the surgical and endovascular treatment of arterial and venous pathology. Dr. Bertoglio is particularly interested in the treatment of pathology of the aortic arch, thoracic/thoracic-abdominal and abdominal aorta, treatment of carotid pathology and supra-aortic trunks and obstructive pathology of the lower limbs. In the last five years, he has focused on complex minimally invasive endovascular treatments of the pathology of the aortic arch and thoracoabdominal aorta with fenestrated and branched endoprostheses.
He is the author of 103 publications in international journals (h-index 20; citations 1306), 2 textbooks and 44 chapters included in vascular surgery texts. He is a member of prestigious Scientific Societies in the sector (SICVE and ESVS). He participates annually in national and international congresses of the sector as a speaker.
