Tina Kariya obtained her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University and then proceeded to University of Maryland for medical school. She matched at University of Maryland for General Surgery and completed a 3-year research fellowship in surgical oncology at the NIH in Bestheda, MD. She is currently the senior vascular fellow at University of Vermont and has accepted an assistant professor position at University of Connecticut for Aug 2023.
