David S. Kauvar, MD

Dr. Kauvar received his MD from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) in 2002. He trained in General Surgery at Brooke Army Medical Center, completing a research fellowship at the US Army Institiute of Surgical Research. His vascular surgery training was completed at the University of Utah. In his 24 year militaery career, he served as in Iraq and Afghanistan and as an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University. His academic interests are in the area of vascular trauma and functional outcomes following vascular intervention.
